KARKOSKY – Sarah N. (nee Mion), 85, of Passaic, on Feb. 7, 2010. Born in New York City, Mrs. Karkosky lived in Passaic for most of her life. Before her retirement, Mrs. Karkosky was the proprietor with her husband of Bushey's Luncheonette in Garfield.
Mrs. Karkosky was a former parishioner of St. Nicholas R.C. Church in Passaic. She was a member of the Clifton Seniors, Happy Time Seniors and the Widow and Widowers, all of Clifton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Karkosky in 1993 and one son, Albert Mion in 1995.
Survivors include: three sons, Anthony Mion of Clifton, Donald Mion of Passaic and Michael Mion of Lodi; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday 8:30 am from the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 9:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 91 Home Ave. @ Ames Ave., Rutherford. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
